CTIA inspected the ban on the sale of alcohol and tobacco to minors. It found non-compliance in more than half of the inspections

(Prague, 14 March 2024) Last year, the Czech Trade Inspection Authority inspected whether traders in the domestic market complied with Act No. 65/2017 Coll., on Health Protection against the Harmful Effects of Drugs, Act No. 353/2003 Coll., on Excise Duties, and Act No. 634/1992 Coll., on Consumer Protection. It carried out a total of 6,732 inspections and found non-compliance with obligations in this area in 3,464 inspections (51.46%).

(Prague, 12 March 2024) At the end of last year, the Czech Trade Inspection Authority carried out a regular inspection campaign focusing on the offer, sale and storage of pyrotechnic products. In the period from 13 November to 31 December 2023, its regional inspectorates carried out a total of 159 inspections, finding deficiencies in 78 of them (49.06%).

CTIA received a number of complaints on conduct of company Hezké oblečení s.r.o. and advises caution on social networks

(Prague, 10 January 2024) Before the Christmas holidays, the Czech Trade Inspection Authority informed the consumer public about the behaviour of the company Hezké oblečení, s.r.o., which operates the profile Létej Levně on social networks. Inspections of the ban on the sale of alcohol and tobacco to juveniles

(Prague, 5 January 2024) In the third quarter of this year, the Czech Trade Inspection Authority inspected whether traders in the domestic market complied with Act No. 65/2017 Coll., on the Health Protection against the Harmful Effects of Drugs, Act No. 307/2013 Coll., on the Compulsory Labelling of Alcohol, Act No. 353/2003 Coll., on Excise Duties, and Act No. 634/1992 Coll., on Consumer Protection. It carried out a total of 1,743 inspections and found non-compliance with obligations in this area in 877 inspections (50.32%).
