(Prague. 28 December 2023) The Czech Trade Inspection Authority monitored the fuels quality in November. It took 236 samples. all of which complied with the quality requirements.

(Prague, 22 December 2023) The provision of the Act on Retail and Wholesale Opening Hours prohibiting sales on certain public holidays in establishments larger than 200 square metres and other establishments applies on the 1st and 2nd Christmas Day on 25 and 26 December, on Christmas Eve on 24 December from 12 to 24 noon, and on the Day of the Restoration of the Independent Czech State and New Year's Day on 1 January 2024.

(Prague, 22 December 2023) The Czech Trade Inspection Authority has investigated the conduct of the company Hezké oblečení s.r.o. based on a number of submissions it has received over the last few days. The company operates pages on social networks using the brand Létej Levně (i.e. Fly Cheap in English).

(Prague, 21 December 2023) Inspectors of the Czech Trade Inspection Authority carried out 77 inspections of 76 operators placing timber and timber products on the market this year. The action focused mainly on split firewood. Deficiencies were detected in 11 cases.

(Hradec Králové, 19 December 2023) On 6 December 2023, the CTIA Inspectorate of the Hradec Králové and Pardubice Regions, carried out an inspection action focusing on the investigation of complaints received regarding the sale of alcoholic beverages and tobacco products to juveniles. Violations of law were detected in seven of nine inspections (77.7%).

(Prague, 14 December 2023) In the third quarter of this year, the Czech Trade Inspection Authority inspected whether traders comply with the End-of-Life Products Act stipulating selected products. It carried out a total of 267 inspections in this area, and found breaches of generally binding legislation in 153 cases.

(Prague, 13 December 2023) The Czech Trade Inspection Authority continued its inspections of the compliance with the ban on consumer discrimination. In the 3rd quarter of this year, it carried out 35 inspections and found one case of suspected discrimination.

(České Budějovice, 11 December 2023) The Czech Trade Inspection Authority of the South Bohemian and Vysočina Regions carried out an extraordinary inspection action focused on the provision of services in tanning salons in České Budějovice. During the event, it carried out a total of 5 inspections of establishments offering consumer services of solariums as appliances for skin treatment using ultraviolet radiation.
