(Prague, 11 October 2023) The Czech Trade Inspection Authority monitored the quality of fuels in August 2023. A total of 196 samples of fuels were taken and inspected and 5 samples failed to meet the specified quality requirements.

(Prague, 9 October 2023) The Czech Trade Inspection Authority monitored the quality of fuels in July 2023. A total of 184 samples were taken and 3 samples of automotive petrol failed to meet the specified quality requirements.

(Svatá Kateřina, 6 October 2023) On Tuesday, 3 October, inspectors from the Czech Trade Inspection Authority, Inspectorate of the Pilsen and Karlovy Vary Regions, carried out a targeted inspection operation focused on the sale and especially the storage of counterfeit goods in the premises of the Svatá Kateřina market in the Tachov region. 

(Prague, 3 October 2023) The Czech Trade Inspection Authority continued its inspections of compliance with the ban on the sale of counterfeits. In the second quarter, inspectors carried out 212 inspections and in 90 inspections found infringements of the ban on offering, selling and storing products infringing certain intellectual property rights. In total, they seized 9,787 pieces of counterfeit products worth CZK 23,344,906.

(Prague, 27 September 2023) The law prohibiting sales on selected public holidays will also apply on 28 September 2023. Large food stores (with a sales area of over 200 m²) must close on 28 September.

(Ostrava, 26 September 2023) During the holidays, CTIA Inspectorate of the Olomouc and Moravian-Silesian Regions focused on inspecting stand sales of fruit and vegetables along roads and in front of shopping centres. The choice of the inspected entity was based primarily on suggestions from the consumer public.
