Czech Trade Inspection Authority inspected geo-blocking

(Brno, January 2, 2020) The Czech Trade Inspection Authority of the South Moravian and Zlín Regions inspected compliance with the amendment to the Consumer Protection Act, which has been in force since the summer of 2019, responding to the new European regulation prohibiting the blocking of purchases according to the country of the buyer, the so-called geo-blocking. Presented characteristics of four insulation products failed the reality

(Prague, December 9, 2019) The Czech Trade Inspection Authority evaluated the inspections focused on thermal insulation products for the building industry. These were industrially produced mineral wool products and polystyrene foam products. In total, it inspected 57 products and found 36 deficiencies. Although most errors were of a formal nature, tests carried out by an accredited laboratory showed that some polystyrene insulations don’t meet the manufacturer's declared characteristics.
