Counterfeits – 1Q 2016

(Prague, June 17, 2016) The Czech Trade Inspection Authority carried out inspections in ordinary shops and e-shops and inspected compliance with the prohibition to offer, sell and store products infringing certain intellectual property rights. Violations of certain intellectual property rights were proven in 91 of 682 inspections, i.e. 13.3%. Toys and counterfeits collected within CTIA inspections

Officers of the Liberecký, Ústecký and Středočeský inspectorates detected misconducts concerning sale of goods. They collected almost 500 pieces of counterfeits in Hřensko of Northern Bohemia and plush toys that were sold freely without any packaging at the Tiskařská Street in Prague 10. Fuels quality in April 2016

Four of them failed the quality requirements determined by applicable technical standards. Slight quality decrease was seen in comparison with March 2016, namely from 1.5% to 1.8%.
