CTIA banned MOLAXISI respirator which fails FFP2 requirements

(Prague, 9 February 2023) The Czech Trade Inspection Authority found that a respirator in the domestic market does not meet the requirements of the EU regulation on personal protective equipment and does not comply with the requirements for FFP2 type respirators. This respirator is sold as Filter half mask MOLAXISI.

Extraordinary inspection “Alcohol, Drugs and Youth 2022” again showed the sale of alcohol to juveniles

(Prague, 6 February 2023) The Czech Trade Inspection Authority evaluated the extraordinary inspection action "Alcohol, Drugs and Youth 2022". In cooperation with certain state and municipal authorities, it carried out a total of 134 inspections and found violations of Act No. 65/2017 Coll., on Health Protection against the Harmful Effects of Drugs, in 38 cases. In 30 cases, alcohol was served or sold to juveniles.

In 2022, 18 inspected fuel samples failed

(Prague, 1 February 2023) The Czech Trade Inspection Authority annually evaluates the quality inspections of fuels for the past period. In 2022, it took 2,545 samples of fuels at filling stations throughout the Czech Republic and 18 samples (0.7%) failed to meet the quality requirements. During the past year, the CTIA imposed a ban on the sale of 48,352.31 litres of fuels with a value amounting to CZK 2,048,113.63. Diesel sample failed in December

(Prague, 31 January 2023) The Czech Trade Inspection Authority inspected the quality of fuels throughout the Czech Republic in December. It took a total of 170 samples of fuels and 1 sample of diesel fuel failed quality requirements.

Toys: CTIA imposed fines of more than CZK 1 million for defects

A third of USB chargers inspected had flaws

(Prague, 17 January 2023) The Czech Trade Inspection Authority evaluated inspections focused on the safety of USB chargers. During the past year, it inspected 32 USB chargers and found deficiencies in 11 products. Two USB chargers were identified as dangerous for consumers and were withdrawn from the market.
