2 fuel samples failed in November

(Prague, 2 January 2023) In November 2022, the Czech Trade Inspection Authority inspected the quality of fuels across the Czech Republic. It took a total of 243 fuel samples and 2 samples failed to meet the quality requirements.

CTIA seized almost 4,000 items of counterfeit goods worth more than CZK 4 million

(Prague, 12 December 2022) In Q3 2022, the Czech Trade Inspection Authority carried out inspections focused on breaches of the Consumer Protection Act, which, among other things, prohibits traders from offering, selling and storing products that infringe certain intellectual property rights. In this period, the CTIA carried out 159 inspections and detected non-compliance with this provision of the Act in 54 cases (34.0%). In total, the CTIA seized 3,790 pieces of counterfeit goods at the prices of originals amounting to CZK 4,100,011.

CTIA: Using the 3D PEN-2 pen can cause injury

(Prague, December 5, 2022) The Czech Trade Inspection Authority found that there is electrical equipment in the domestic market that may pose a risk to consumers. The product is sold under the name 3D PEN-2 pen + refill set 155m blue, model 9620. The product was found to be a serious risk of electric shock. The CTIA ordered an immediate withdrawal of the product from the market.
