The CTIA banned dangerous cube-shaped magnetic beads

(Prague, 14 September 2022) The Czech Trade Inspection Authority has found that a children's toy in the domestic market - Neocube magnetic beads - may be dangerous for children. Laboratory tests have shown that the magnetic flux index values for this toy are several times higher than permitted.

CTIA bans other dangerous magnetic beads in the market

(Prague, 6 September 2022) The Czech Trade Inspection Authority has found that there are other magnetic beads in the domestic market that pose a health risk to children. These are 216 magnetic beads, 5 mm, green in colour, model 00009035. Laboratory tests have shown that the magnetic flux index values for this toy are also several times exceeded.

Země živitelka and CTIA – over 85% of sellers breached law

(České Budějovice, 2 September 2022) The Czech Trade Inspection Authority of the South Bohemian Region and the Vysočina Region carried out an extraordinary inspection action at the Země živitelka 2022 exhibition. It carried out a total of 14 inspections, which focused on the sale of consumer goods, refreshments, including inspections of the technical requirements for products. Inspectors found violations of law in 12 cases.

Eastern Bohemia: CTIA detected sale of alcohol to minors

(Hradec Králové, 1 September 2022) The Inspectorate of the CTIA of the Hradec Králové and Pardubice Regions has carried out an extraordinary inspection action aimed at the prohibition to sell alcohol and tobacco to minors. In 4 inspection days, it carried out a total of 30 inspections and in 13 cases found that alcoholic beverages and tobacco products were sold to minors (i.e. 43%).
