One diesel sample failed in July

(Prague, 31 August 2022) The Czech Trade Inspection Authority continued its fuel quality inspections in the summer months. In July, it took 194 fuel samples at filling stations in the Czech Republic. One diesel fuel sample failed to meet quality requirements.

4 of 5 audited energy intermediaries breached law in Q1

(Prague, 23 August 2022) The Czech Trade Inspection Authority has evaluated inspections focused on the offer and provision of services related to the conclusion of energy supply contracts. In Q1 2022, it carried out a total of 10 inspections and found deficiencies in compliance with legal regulations in 8 cases.

CTIA bans a toy ship due to lead

(Prague, 28 July 2022) The Czech Trade Inspection Authority has found that a plastic battery-operated toy offered in the domestic market has an excessive lead content in the soldered joints inside the toy. The product is a boat, model number NO 0619. CTIA ordered its withdrawal from the market.

CTIA bans a police car toy due to lead

(Prague, 26 July 2022) The Czech Trade Inspection Authority has found that a product in the domestic market poses a serious risk to the environment. It is a battery-operated police car toy, model number HCH-418, which contains an unauthorised amount of lead in the solder joint inside the toy. The CTIA has ordered the withdrawal of the product from the market.

Inspected flues with administrative deficiencies only

(Prague, 22 July 2022) The Czech Trade Inspection Authority inspected whether flue pipes used for exhausting flue gases from fuel appliances to the outdoor environment meet the applicable operational and administrative requirements. It inspected a total of 36 products, 7 of which were subjected to laboratory testing. The good news is that all the products tested met the requirements for gas tightness and thermal shock resistance.
