(Prague, 14 December 2021) In the third quarter of 2021, the Czech Trade Inspection Authority inspected the ban on the sale of alcoholic beverages and tobacco products to persons under the age of 18. (Ostrava, 13 December 2021) From 18 October to 30 November, employees of the Czech Trade Inspection Authority, Moravsko-slezský and Olomoucký Inspectorates, carried out an inspection of specialised shops selling cheese, cheese specialities and delicatessen products. (Prague, 7 December 2021) In the third quarter of this year, the Czech Trade Inspection Authority inspected the offer and provision of services related to the conclusion of energy supply contracts. It carried out a total of 2 inspections and in both cases found violations of certain provisions of the Consumer Protection Act.

(Prague, 6 December 2021) The Czech Trade Inspection Authority (CTI) took part in a joint extraordinary inspection action aimed at compliance with the ban on the offer, sale, serving and consumption of alcoholic beverages to persons under 18 years of age. During the six days, in cooperation with the Police of the Czech Republic and other surveillance authorities, the CTIA carried out a total of 108 inspections and found violations of law in 50 cases.

(Prague, 3 December 2021) The Czech Trade Inspection Authority carried out an inspection of small kitchen heat devices. It evaluated 20 types of products and found deficiencies in almost half of the inspected devices.

(Prague, 2 December 2021) The Czech Trade Inspection Authority inspected the AdBlue liquid, which is used to run some diesel vehicles and is a necessary preparation for reducing harmful nitrogen oxide emissions. The CTIA carried out a total of 57 inspections, including 14 cases expert tests that were carried out by an accredited laboratory. The tested samples of AdBlue liquid passed all the tested parameters.

(Prague, 11 November 2021) In third quarter 2021, the Czech Trade Inspection Authority (CTIA) carried out inspections focused on compliance with legal regulations in e-commerce. (Prague, 8 November 2021) In the third quarter of this year, the Czech Trade Inspection Authority continued its inspections to ban the offer and sale of counterfeit goods. It carried out a total of 232 inspections, during which it took 10,204 items of counterfeited goods worth CZK 30,266,372 when calculated in the prices of original products. Compared to the second quarter, there was a huge increase in seized counterfeited goods, as 2,507 pieces of counterfeit goods worth CZK 7,667,227 were taken from traders in this period.

(Prague, 5 November, 2021) The Czech Trade Inspection Authority has evaluated inspections focused on the safety of fixed LED luminaires. In total, it inspected 22 types of products and found administrative deficiencies in 2 types of luminaires. All inspected types complied with the technical requirements.
