(Prague, 30 September 2021) The Czech Trade Inspection Authority inspected the quality of fuels in August. It took 217 samples and all samples met the quality requirements.

(Hradec Králové, 14 September 2021) In August 2021, the Královéhradecký and Pardubický Inspectorate of the Czech Trade Inspection Authority carried out a total of 51 inspections focusing on the sale of alcoholic beverages to minors. The inspections were carried out mainly in places that people visit most often in summer.

(Prague, 10 September 2021) The Czech Trade Inspection Authority has found that there is dangerous electrical equipment In the domestic market. It is the Activer kettle type 14018051/A16211. During use, accidental switching on of an empty kettle with non-functioning thermal protection may melt the plastic cover of the lower part of the kettle and its base, so the live parts of the product with dangerous voltages of 230 V would expose. (Prague, 7 September 2021) The Director General of the Czech Trade Inspection Authority, Mojmír Bezecný, has asked the Minister of Industry and Trade, Karel Havlíček, to be relieved of his duties. He did so in the past few days in accordance with the Civil Service Act. "This decision was made mainly for private and family reasons. It is a personal decision," says the Director General of the Czech Trade Inspection Mojmír Bezecný.

(Prague, 3 September 2021) In the second quarter of this year, the Czech Trade Inspection Authority inspected compliance with legal regulations in the offer and provision of services related to the conclusion of energy supply contracts. (Prague, August 19, 2021) The Czech Trade Inspection Authority has recently been receiving increasingly frequent inquiries about alleged discrimination against consumers who are not allowed to enter the premises without a respirator on. The obligation to wear a respirator (or similar equipment) indoors is currently provided for by an emergency measure of the Ministry of Health and a retailer is certainly not committing discrimination if they don't allow a customer to enter the premises without a respirator (or similar equipment).
