Ban on retail sales doesn’t apply at Christmas

(Prague, December 23, 2020) The Czech Trade Inspection Authority responds to numerous questions from entrepreneurs and journalists, and confirms that the Act on Retail and Wholesale opening hours will not apply again during the Christmas time. Christmas present non-delivered? You can get your money back

People, who don’t receive Christmas gifts ordered and paid online with a card, can get their money back. They can ask their card issuer for chargeback – a tool thanks to which their bank can withdraw the amount from the trader’s bank if the trader doesn’t prove the delivery. Energy auction intermediaries further mislead consumers

(Prague, 11 December 2020) In the third quarter of this year, the Czech Trade Inspection Authority continued to inspect the offer and provision of services related to the conclusion of energy supply contracts. CTIA took counterfeits for more than 5.5 million crowns in the third quarter
