Last year, CTIA seized 29,991 items of counterfeit goods for more than CZK 97.5 million

(Prague, 24 March 2025) During the last year, the Czech Trade Inspection Authority focused on inspections of compliance with the ban on the offer, sale and storage of products infringing certain intellectual property rights. It carried out 714 inspections and found breaches of the prohibition on the offer, sale and storage of products infringing certain intellectual property rights in 274 inspections (38.38%).

CTIA inspected recreational vessels

(Prague, 18 March 2025) The Czech Trade Inspection Authority has evaluated the inspections of recreational craft in 2024. In the period from July to September last year, it carried out a total of seven inspections and inspected seven product types. It found deficiencies in one product.

CTIA inspected textile products, imposed more than three hundred fines for shortcomings for nearly 2.5 million crowns

(Prague, 6 March 2025) The Czech Trade Inspection Authority (CTIA) has evaluated its inspections of textile products. In the period from April to November 2024, it carried out a total of 1,076 inspections and found infringements of legal regulations in more than 40% of the inspections carried out. CTIA monitored fuel quality: Last year, 20 of 2,552 samples taken failed

(Final Report 2024) (Prague, 25 February 2025) The Czech Trade Inspection Authority regularly monitors and evaluates the quality of fuels in the Czech market. Last year, it collected a total of 2,552 samples of fuels at filling stations in the Czech Republic. 20 samples (0.8%) failed the quality requirements. CTIA imposed prohibition of sales of 31,773.00 litres of fuels with the value amounting to CZK 1,159,981.70.

Inspection of rope centres: 7 of 27 were with findings

(Prague, 28 January 2025) The Czech Trade Inspection Authority (CTIA) carried out inspections of rope centres as part of its Market Surveillance Programme for 2024. In the period from May to November of last year, it carried out a total of 27 inspections, of which almost a quarter resulted in detection of flaws.

Results of solid fuel inspections in 2024

(Prague, 23 January 2025) The Czech Trade Inspection Authority has evaluated the inspections focused on solid fuels. CTIA officers carried out a total of 31 inspections of operators in 2024 and found infringements of the Act on Consumer Protection or the Act on Clean Air Protection in 5 of them.

In December, all fuel sample inspected were compliant 

(Prague, 22 January 2025) The Czech Trade Inspection Authority monitored the quality of fuels in December 2024. It took a total of 119 samples at petrol stations in the Czech Republic, including 44 samples of petrol, 60 samples of diesel, 1 sample of paraffinic diesel, 12 samples of LPG and 2 samples of CNG. All samples met the quality requirements.
