(Prague, 22 January 2025) The Czech Trade Inspection Authority monitored the quality of fuels in December 2024. It took a total of 119 samples at petrol stations in the Czech Republic, including 44 samples of petrol, 60 samples of diesel, 1 sample of paraffinic diesel, 12 samples of LPG and 2 samples of CNG. All samples met the quality requirements.

(Prague, 23 December 2024) The Czech Trade Inspection Authority monitored the quality of fuels in November 2024. It took a total of 220 samples at filling stations in the Czech Republic, including 87 samples of automotive petrol, 104 diesel fuel samples, 1 sample of paraffinic diesel, 24 samples of LPG and 4 samples of CNG. Two samples of motor gasoline did not meet the specified quality requirements.

(Prague, 19 December 2024) The Regional Inspectorate of the Czech Trade Inspection Authority of Central Bohemian Region and the City of Prague has joined the initiative of the Prague 1 municipality and other institutions to reduce the use of fireworks during New Year's Eve celebrations in the city centre and reduce the risks of damage to health and property.

(Prague, 18 December 2024) The Act on Retail and Wholesale Opening Hours, which prohibits sales in establishments with over 200 square metres of sales area and in some other establishments, also applies on the 1st and 2nd Christmas holidays on 25 and 26 December, on Christmas Eve on 24 December from 12 a.m. to 24 p.m. and on the Day of the Restoration of the Independent Czech State and New Year's Day on 1 January 2025.

(Prague, 16 December 2024) The Czech Trade Inspection Authority has introduced new service cards for its employees according to a new decree.

(Prague, 16 December 2024) In the third quarter of this year, the Czech Trade Inspection Authority continued its inspections of e-shops, focusing on those showing signs of non-compliance with legal obligations. In total, it carried out 148 inspections and found violations of legal regulations in 125 cases (84.46%).

(Prague, December 10, 2024) During the third quarter, the Czech Trade Inspection Authority focused on inspections of compliance with the ban on the offer, sale and storage of products infringing certain intellectual property rights and compliance with obligations arising from other legislation under the authority of the CTIA. It carried out 124 inspections, of which it found violations of the prohibition on offering, selling and storing products infringing certain intellectual property rights in 45 inspections.

(Prague, December 9, 2024) The Czech Trade Inspection Authority inspected whether traders discriminate against consumers during the third quarter of this year. It carried out a total of 25 inspections, during which it found suspicions of some form of discriminatory conduct in two cases.
