(Prague, 22 August 2024) The Czech Trade Inspection Authority monitored the quality of fuels in July 2024. It took a total of 184 samples at filling stations in the Czech Republic, including 72 samples of automotive petrol, 84 samples of diesel fuel, 24 samples of LPG and 4 samples of CNG. One of the samples tested failed the quality requirements.

(Prague, 21 August 2024) In the first quarter of this year, the Czech Trade Inspection Authority focused on inspections of compliance with the prohibition of offer, sale and storage of products infringing certain intellectual property rights, and compliance with obligations arising from legal regulations within the surveillance scope of the CTIA. It carried out 179 inspections, of which it found infringements of the prohibition on offering, selling and storing products infringing certain intellectual property rights in 46 cases (25.70%).

(Prague, 14 August 2024) During the second quarter of this year, the Czech Trade Inspection Authority inspected whether traders discriminate against consumers. Its staff carried out a total of 40 inspections, during which it found suspicions of some form of discriminatory conduct in three cases.

(Prague, 12 August 2024) The Czech Trade Inspection Authority continued its targeted inspections of e-shops in the second quarter of this year. It carried out a total of 194 inspections and found breaches of legal regulations in 169 of cases (87.11%).

(Prague, 8 August 2024) In the second quarter of this year, the Czech Trade Inspection Authority focused on the fulfilment of obligations arising from Act No. 634/1992 Coll., on Consumer Protection, when offering and selling goods in connection with the provision of discounts. Within inspection action, 259 inspections were carried out and breaches of legal regulations were detected in 106 inspections, i.e. 40.93% of the total number of inspections carried out.

(Prague, 6 August 2024) The Czech Trade Inspection Authority monitored the quality of fuels in June 2024. It took a total of 240 samples at filling stations in the Czech Republic, including 96 samples of automotive petrol, 112 samples of diesel fuel, 30 samples of LPG and 2 samples of CNG. All samples tested met the specified quality requirements.

When comparing the results of fuel quality inspections for the first half of this year with the quality for the comparable period last year, a deterioration can be noted in the case of automotive petrol and LPG, while an improvement was noted in the case of diesel fuels.
