When inspecting the market in Svatý Kříž in the Cheb region, CTIA took 5,600 items of counterfeit goods for almost CZK 20 million. The seized textile goods were stuffed into more than 400 plastic bags

(Karlovy Vary, 10 October 2024) Staff of the CTIA Inspectorate for the Pilsen and Karlovy Vary Regions, carried out an inspection operation in eight pre-selected sales areas of the "Asia Dragon Bazar" market in Svatý Kříž near Cheb at the beginning of October. They seized a total of 5,626 items of counterfeit goods, illegally bearing the trademarks of renowned manufacturers. The value of these products, calculated at the price of the originals, amounts to CZK 19,855,400.

Two petrol samples failed in August

(Prague, 17 September 2024) The Czech Trade Inspection Authority monitored the quality of fuels in the month of August 2024. It took a total of 226 samples at filling stations in the Czech Republic, including 86 samples of automotive petrol, 112 samples of diesel, 24 samples of LPG and 4 samples of CNG. Two of the samples tested did not meet the specified quality requirements.

Battery-powered toy “Microphone Stand” contains excessive amounts of lead and cadmium

(Prague, 12 September 2024) The Czech Trade Inspection Authority has found a product in the market that poses a serious risk to the environment. The product is the battery-operated toy called „Stojan s mikrofonem“ ("Stand with microphone"). In the soldered joint inside the toy, laboratory tests showed that the lead and cadmium content exceeded the permitted limit values many times over.
